Desirèe Apicella is an illustrator, graphic designer, and painter originally from Cairo Montenotte.
She graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin with a thesis on artists’ autobiographies in modern and contemporary art, then continued her studies in illustration and graphic design through specialization courses and as a self-taught.
Today she works with various media, including manual and digital illustration, painting and video making, to capture the essence of places and objects and visually represent reality and moods through her sensitivity.
Desirèe worked on a series of canvases and drawings, painting with acrylics and markers some places and objects that captured her attention in the surroundings of the villa.
She worked in a very quick and spontaneous way, focusing on colors and not on details to catch the essential of every subject and give of them just an impression.
