Biography

Justine Eliès and Arthur Heilporn are an artistic duo whose collaborative work explores the intersection of sculpture, installation, and printmaking. They both graduated in 2022 from Ésam Caen/Cherbourg with honors, Justine in Fine Art and Arthur in Publishing. Their practice combines craftsmanship with contemporary technologies. Based in Caen, where they live and work, Arthur Heilporn examines science, geology, and landscape through editorial work and installation, whereas Justine Eliès, a multidisciplinary artist, works with volume through various materials (wood, glass,
ceramics), grounding her approach in scenography and spatial design.
Their collaborative practice navigates between domestic and geological landscapes, fueled by a shared sensibility for tradi tional techniques and their uses in contemporary creation. Their multidisciplinary approach establishes a dialogue between printed images and three-dimensional forms, weaving semantic, material, and formal relationships that unfold in space. Through processes of collecting and transforming, objects and tools are multiplied, becoming catalysts for formal and material play, with shifting scales and fragilities. Their work is rooted in the gathering of images, texts, photographs, and archival documents, initiating a compositional process of motifs, forms, colors, and gestures that gives rise to a landscape that is both imagined and familiar, where manual and digital creation converge.
